All-Star Squadron: A Silver Age Legacy Redefined (1981-1987)
The All-Star Squadron was a superhero team that debuted in 1940 in the pages of DC Comics' All-Star Comics. The team was made up of some of DC's most popular Golden Age superheroes, including Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, and Green Lantern. The All-Star Squadron fought against the Axis powers during World War II, and their adventures were chronicled in a series of popular comic books.
In 1981, DC Comics revived the All-Star Squadron concept with a new series that ran for 67 issues until 1987. This new series was written by Roy Thomas and drawn by Rich Buckler, and it featured a new team of young superheroes who were inspired by the legacy of the Golden Age All-Star Squadron.
