- 1 skein of bulky yarn in white
- 1 skein of bulky yarn in black
- 1 skein of bulky yarn in green
- 1 skein of bulky yarn in yellow

- Pom-pom maker (optional)
Pattern Instructions
Cocoon
- With red yarn, make a slip knot and join to form a ring. Ch 4. (4)
- Dc in each ch around. (4)
- Ch 2, turn. Dc in each dc around, inc 1 dc in each dc. (8)
- Ch 2, turn. Dc in each dc around, inc 1 dc in every other dc. (12)
- Continue increasing every other round until you have 24 dc around. (24)
- Ch 2, turn. Dc in each dc around. (24)
- Repeat Round 6 until cocoon measures desired length. (Approximately 20 inches)
- Ch 2, turn. Sl st in each dc around. (24)
- Fasten off and weave in ends.
Hood
- With white yarn, make a slip knot and join to form a ring. Ch 4. (4)
- Dc in each ch around. (4)
- Ch 2, turn. Dc in each dc around, inc 1 dc in each dc. (8)
- Ch 2, turn. Dc in each dc around. (8)
- Repeat Round 4 until hood measures desired width. (Approximately 12 inches)
- Ch 2, turn. Sl st in each dc around. (8)
- Fasten off and weave in ends.
Pom-pom (Optional)
- Wrap yarn around a pom-pom maker approximately 50 times.
- Cut the yarn and tie it off in the center.
- Remove the pom-pom maker and trim the yarn to desired length.
Hat
- With red yarn, make a slip knot and join to form a ring. Ch 4. (4)
- Dc in each ch around. (4)
- Ch 2, turn. Dc in each dc around, inc 1 dc in each dc. (8)

- Repeat Round 4 until hat measures desired width. (Approximately 10 inches)
